Jennifer P. Davis & Associates, LLC replaces single dimension "Diversity Training" with the more appropriate Cultural Competency Education by redefining diversity and focusing on the importance of equity and inclusion in society and the workplace.
We appreciate the opportunity to partner with you in your Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative. We don't propose to "train" people in diversity because each of us is unique and diverse. We focus on educating ourselves and others by engaging participants in an interactive "Listen and Learn" model designed to build and/or enhance relationships.
Cultural Competency is the capacity and willingness to interact with anyone, anywhere, anytime with dignity. Listening and learning is the foundation for developing this capacity.
As participants engage in this model, they will acquire new capacities for dealing with the ever-shifting cultural landscape. By helping learners think and feel instead of dictating what they should think or feel, their individual capacities increase, which will transform the culture of an organization as a whole.
